The Story is about a clever man, Tywan that had three daughters called Meenhi, Wimlah and Gunnedoo, who he treasured all of them. This story takes place in the magic land of Gandwana. The actions begins when a huge evil creature called Bunyip lived in a deep hole in the valley. He loves human flesh, all above of that young girls. If you meet him the only safe thing to do was run away really quickly. If people needed to pass in the hole it was important to it very quietly.
So, when Tywan had to pass this hole he would leave his daughters safely on the cliff behind a rocky wall. While they were waiting their dad, one of the girls suddendly screamed because she saw a huge centipede. She picked up a stone and threw it at the centipede but the stone rolled over the cliff and the rocks behind the three sisters was opened now.
When the Bunyip arrived, he was hungry and he was reaching for the flesh; then Tywan looked up and undertanding the situation he pointed his magic bone at the girls and turned them to stones.
He would change them back when the monster had gone but he didn't left them, next he follow the man into the forest. He used his magic bone again and changed himself to a Lyre Bird. Just next he realised that he had dropped his bone while changing.
After the Bunyip had gone, Tywan searched and searched for his magic bone.
The story ends with the three sisters stand silently watching their father and hoping that one day he will find his bone.
