Speak UP! New York City - Life in the Bronx.

The Bronx is just one of the five boroughs that make up NYC. 

The Bronx  is positioned to the north of Manhattan. Today the aerea has a population of 1.385,000.

The Bronx was considered an attractive suburban area but this image began to deteriorate in 1970s. In fact the situation in the south Bronx was particularly bad. Then the econimic situation in NY was disastrous at the time - the city was declared "bankrupt" in 1975s. To make things worse  a number of business owners carried out arson attacks on their own proprety in order to claim the insurance. For this the south Bronx was considered a "war zone".          

That was the situation in South Bronx.

 

However, the Bronx is coming back. The borough has always been the home of the famous NY Yankees baseball team. Two years ago they moved to a new stadium and this is seen as a sign of the borough's revival. 

People today are rediscovering the Bronx's charms: it is home to the NY Botanical Garden and the world famous Bronx-zoo. There is also a little "Italy-Here" family business sell mozzarella and other Italian food. Now that the more famous Little Italy, in Manhattan, is appearing tourists are also heading up to the Bronx.

We started another year, and as usual, there are new years resolution.

Speak UP! Caesars Palace - One of the most famous hotel in the world!!

Caesars Palace is one of the most famous hotel in the world. A room in one of its five tower isn't cheap. A night at the hotel costs between $130 and incredible $4.000.

What makes Caesars Palace so special? For example the entertainment. Guests can enjoy the casino with its gaming rooms. They can play pocker against professionals or watch their fortune disappear at the roulette tables. They can also enjoy the hotels award winning restaurants and a show with stars like Céline Dion. Guests can relax at the hotel's health spa too. Spa includes Roman Baths, an Arctic Roomm, which is full of show and people can also relax with its six swimming pools.

                            

"Like an Egyptian"

There is also Cleopatra's Barge, a luxurious floating lounge.

This is a replica of an Egyptian boat that transported royalty down the Nile. Finally the hotel offers exclusive nights club including PURE. 

There you can see an incredible views of the Las Vegas Strip.Today the Las Vegas Strip is luxery resort of families.

My personal opinion about Caesars Palace

This article of "Speak Up" is really nice and I chose it because I love Las Vegas and that hotel is really interesting, rich of entertainment, luxury, elegance and gaming room too.
For this Las Vegas is called "Sin City", but anyways... is beautiful and I want absolutely to visit it!

CURIOSITY!

Caesars Palace has 3,960 rooms in six tower: Augustus, Centurion -now- Nobu, Roman, Palace, Octavius and Forum. The Forum tower features guests suites with 1,000 square feeto of space.

There are many different restaurants for example the Restaurant Guy Savoy, 808, Bradley Ogden, Empress Court, Hyakumi and Mesa Grill.
It is particulary famous the Forum Shops,
that offers beautiful shops of clothes and
jewellery.

Pollution, global warming.

Talk about pollution.

There are many types of pollution in the world: water, air, lands pollution and soil pollution.

Environmentalists predict that it will be a global warming, so the weather will change. There are problems like greenhouse effects or the famous hole in the layer. I think that we are the first that make our places polluted, in fact we don't respect the environment and we broke all the rules.

Water pollution  is the presence of harmful material in water, such as dissolved metals, waste from farms and factories. 

Air pollution is really dangerous because it may cause breathing problems or worse cancer.

Especially the industry caused soil pollution with gas and petroleum. Also car and discharges demage it. 

Soil pollution is when man made chemicals, such as hydrocarbons, soluents get into the soil,

My gap year (after my exams)

After my exams I'm going to travel for example in Milan or London, Paris, Australia, Germany, Spain, Los Vegas and New York. But first I need to look for a job in order to get some money for the tickets and then for a hotel to sleep.

The first city that I want to visit is New York, so I put my back pack and go there. I'm going to leave my town after the summer. Then I'm going to stay there for about three months and come back here for Christmas. I don't know if I'm going to go to NY alone or with someone else, anyway it will be a good experience.

 

Then I want to go to the so called "Sin City", Los Vegas, because I'm really curious to visit all the places there. I'm going to leave with my friends and I'm going to stay there about three weeks.

Finally, I'm going to go to London
with my friends or my sisters, for one month.
